Whitney Houston, who ruled as the queen of pop music from the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, died today. The cause and location of death is not known at this time.

We’re migrating to a new server this weekend, and it’s possible that while we’re in the process, you may experience audio drop-outs on the stream or not be able to tune in at all. But once we’re done, those problems should be gone for good. Thank you so much for your patience! — Don

I’d like to know what you like when it comes to the ratio of current hits (now to 2 years old) to classic hits on Project 42. Could you please take the time to make your choice known? It’s important to us to give you the kind of internet station you love. The poll will remain open until the end of February.

Many of you have asked for more 80s music on Project 42 Radio. One of you thinks we should be all 80s all the time. While that’s not in the cards, I am bringing you the first part of what will be an all-80s Friday night starting February 3rd.
Fellow radio warrior Dean Fettes will host “Retro 80s Weekend” Friday nights from 10 p.m. to Midnight Central Time (0400 to 0600 Saturdays UTC). Dean will play the greatest 80s hits, the lost hits, and include lots more about the decade. Tune in Friday night and let us know what you think!
