The famous recording studio is being sold by recording label EMI.  So if you have a few spare pounds under the cushions…okay, you’d better have a lot of cushions.

The lead singer of The Knack has died after a bout with cancer. He was 57.  Doug sang lead on The Knack’s 1979 number one hit, “My Sharona”.  At the band’s website, the band says “Our hearts are broken forever.  We will miss you Doug.”  So will we.

 

Jack and Meg White aren’t happy with the Super Bowl ad for the Air Force using one of their songs. More at Rolling Stone.

Pauly Fuemana, who recorded under the name OMC, passed away today in a New Zealand Hospital.  More here and here.
